O delineamento estatístico utilizado foi o inteiramente casualizado, e os resultados demostraram que o potencial de contaminação dos lençóis de água subterrâneos para o íon nitrato é elevado, ao contrário do que ocorre com o íon fosfato, que possui baixo potencial de contaminação. Considerando-se o efeito da água residuária nas propriedades físicas e químicas do solo, ocorreu a melhoria das propriedades químicas e redução do ponto de carga zero. PHOSPATE AND NITRATE LEACHING OF SWINE WASTEWATER TREATED IN LAGOON SYSTEM 2 ABSTRACT In this study the following was done: evaluation of phosphate and nitrate ion leaching in soil columns, obtainment of hydrodynamic dispersion coefficient and retardation factor, determination of ion movement capacity and their contamination potential of underground water, and the wastewater effect on the soil chemical properties. The statistical design was completely random. Results showed that contamination potential of underground water for the nitrate ion was high, which was the opposite for phosphate ion that presented low contamination potential. Considering the wastewater effect on the soil chemical and physical properties, an improvement of the chemical properties and reduction of zero load point occurred.
