- W2899509330 abstract "Gadolinium (Gd) doped ZrO2 nano crystals have been synthesized by solution combustion method using Glycine as a fuel, furnace temperature being 400 oC. The obtained sample is characterized by X-ray diffraction, Scanning electron microscopy, Uv-Visible Spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and AC conductivity studies. XRD patterns showing high crystallinity of the sample as the dopant concentration has been increased with particle size being 25-35 nm. The SEM analysis reveals porosity of ZrO2 having flaky structures at 1 mol% of Gd and the particles become uniform spherical in shape at 9 mol% of Gd. AC impedance spectroscopy results of the as synthesized Gd doped ZrO2 is showing good dielectric properties with a very high dielectric constant (ɛ′= 345) and as well as high AC conductivity (σac = 0.06837 Scm-1) at 10 MHz for 7 mol% of Gd doped ZrO2. It is best suitable for solid oxide fuel cell applications" @default.
