- W2902736433 abstract "One of the health dimensions that has attracted the attention of communities is increasing mental health. Mental health literacy refers to the knowledge and attitudes of individuals towards mental health as factors influencing the mental health of a community. The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of group psychological training on mental health literacy among those referring to health centers. The research population consisted of all the people referred to the health centers, of whom 60 were randomly selected. A random sample of 30 people in the experimental group and 30 others in the control group were replaced. The experimental group received group psychological training during the five sessions while the control group did not receive any training. Both groups before and after education were evaluated by the Mental Health Literacy Scale (MHLS). The results showed that psychological training improved the level of mental health literacy in the experimental group compared with the control group. Also, comparing the results in the two groups showed that group psychological training improved the recognition of mental disorders, the knowledge of how to obtain information on mental health, information about available professional services and help seeking in mental health assistance. Regarding the results, it can be concluded that group psychological training is effective on the level of mental health literacy of people referring to health centers." @default.
