Belle II has a broad program of tau <mml:math xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML display=inline><mml:mi>τ</mml:mi></mml:math> physics, in particular, precision measurements of Standard Model parameters and searches of lepton flavor and lepton number violations, benefiting from the large cross-section of the pairwise tau <mml:math xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML display=inline><mml:mi>τ</mml:mi></mml:math> lepton production in e^+e^- <mml:math xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML display=inline><mml:mrow><mml:msup><mml:mi>e</mml:mi><mml:mo>+</mml:mo></mml:msup><mml:msup><mml:mi>e</mml:mi><mml:mo>−</mml:mo></mml:msup></mml:mrow></mml:math> collisions.
