- W2904114421 abstract "In present study, SS304 stainless steel grade is selected as a pumping material which is widely used as a pumping material. Experiments are conducted with coal-water slurry to investigate erosion wear. The erosion wear influencing parameters of pumping material are optimized by using Taguchi’s design of experiment technique. Various influencing parameters for erosion wear are time duration, rotational speed and solid concentration in present investigation. The S/N ratios for response parameter i.e. erosion wear are optimized with the help of L16 (42) orthogonal array. S/N ratios are characterized by using Lower-the-better rule. The experiments are conducted on a bench scale apparatus i.e. erosion wear pot tester. To enhance the erosion resistance, HVOF coating layer is deposited on SS304. WC-10Co-4Cr and Ni-20Cr2O3 are used as coating materials. The effect of various influencing parameters of coated SS304 with coal-water slurry is also analyzed" @default.
