The ceramic membrane was then used to separate dye from wastewater. Energy dispersion X-ray and X-ray diffraction analysis confirmed that the prepared samples contained bismuth, stibium, and tin dioxide. The morphology of the samples was studied via scanning electron microscopy. The results showed tin dioxide particles with an average diameter of 8–10 nm. They formed a composite membrane with an average pore size of about 2 nm. At 0.4 MPa, a dye solution of 40 mg L−1, and voltage of 1.0 V, the retention rate of direct orange S dye could reach 99% on the bismuth/stibium-tin dioxide ceramic membrane." @default.
