- W2907872933 abstract "In 2016, universal energy related carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from fossil fuels were nearly leveled for the third successive year, with a barely 0.2% ascent which is superlative to the 2.2% average growth during the past decade. This realization is due to the significant developments and increase in reliance on renewable energy resources. Wind power stations acquired dominant investments in utility-scale projects known as wind farms [1]. Aligned with selecting proper sites, wind turbine assemblage has extensive impact on the overall productivity and efficiency of the power station. The proficiency of a Wind Energy Conversion System (WECS) is accompanied by competent election of generator and electrical control systems; where the latter is multiplied and expanded to structure an adept wind farm. This paper investigates, models and simulates a doubly fed induction generator (DFIG)-based wind power system coupled to a back to back power converter and controlled by a vector control strategy. The DFIG based wind farm is simulated under fixed step where results are conferred and assessed." @default.
