• W2912087784 abstract "The intrinsic anomalous Hall (AH) effect is a result of a non-zero Berry curvature in momentum-space. The quantized version of the AH effect, known as the quantum anomalous Hall (QAH) effect, harbors dissipation-free chiral edge states in the absence of an external magnetic field. On the other hand, the topological Hall (TH) effect, a transport hallmark of the nontrivial spin textures, is a consequence of real-space Berry curvature. While both the QAH and TH effect have been reported separately, their coexistence, as a manifestation of entangled momentum-space and real-space topology, in a single sample has not been reported. Here, by inserting a TI layer between two magnetic TI layers to form a sandwich heterostructure, we observed the crossover from the QAH to TH effect through tuning the chemical potential. This observation can be understood through the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction of the topological surface and bulk quantum well states. The unification of topological quantum phenomena in momentum-space and real-space in a single device provides a unique platform for dissipationless spin-textured spintronic applications." @default.
