• W2912161310 abstract "Recent climate change has increased the frequency of natural disasters, including typhoons and heavy rains. These disasters have resulted in complex damage. Natural disasters enormously affect a variety of critical areas (e.g., human life, property, and facilities), thus increasing the importance of disaster management. However, it is difficult to predict the frequency, size, and scale of such natural disasters and the resulting damage. Many disaster management studies are therefore being conducted in a variety of areas. This study examined a disaster management plan in Gyeongsangnum-do by considering damage status according to the information in the disaster yearbook from 2006 to 2017 in addition to a comprehensive si/gun/gu disaster plan designed to reduce storm and flood damage. Past natural disaster statuses were calculated according to the weight of the disaster type in the Gyeongsangnum-do disaster management plan. This study also proposes equations for calculating a budget ratio for disaster management in Gyeongsangnum-do by considering the disaster risk area and the weight of the disaster type according to the comprehensive plan to reduce storm and flood damage.
