- W2912552224 abstract "Banana (Musa Paradisiaca) peels are usually considered as wastes and discarded during the processing, which contribute to polluting the environment. Hence this study is evaluating the potential of waste banana peel as powders and applies in the polymer matrix as alternative for future used. Banana peel is used widely because of its nutritional values and its healthy. In past, there are studies that show banana plant parts, and their fruits can be used to treat the human diseases. Banana peel is a part of banana fruit that also has the antibacterial activity against microorganisms and can be apply in coatings or dental applications. The varieties of ripening of banana peel effects the mechanical, physical and chemical properties of its peel. Several methods are proposed for powder size of cellulose preparation include, hammer mill, grinding and ball milling method. A modification needed for the uniform dispersability of the cellulose powder in polymer matrix which the method will modify the hydrophobicity of hydrogen bonding in cellulose to hydrophilic. They are several of application of cellulose powder in polymer matrix for further used in plastic packaging, as dye removal or dental application used." @default.
