What we are seeing today is the effect of climate change on the types of rainfall distribution temporal patterns in the world. Sure change in the distribution of rainfall patterns will affect the amount and volume of the flood. The purpose of this study was to investigate changes in maximum flow rate and flood volume due to changes in rainfall distribution temporal pattern in Ardebil province. In this study, SCS was used to simulate the discharge and hydrograph of the flood using six types of rainfall temporal patterns (SCS, WMO, Huff1st, Huff2nd, Huff3rd, Huff4th). For the average curve number for basin, was obtained 69 by assuming the moisture content of soil was medium. The maximum flow rate simulation for the return period was 25 years. The results of comparing different rainfall temporal patterns in the simulation of maximum flood peak discharge showed that using Huff-1 in flood simulation couse under-estimation and using Huff-4th model couse over-estimation of the maximum flood flow. Changing the rainfall pattern from type one to type 4 leads to an increase in flood discharge. Also, the results showed that change in the type of rainfall pattern led to a significant difference in flood hydrograph simulation. Keywords: Watershed modeling system, WMO, SCS, Huff." @default.
