- W2913370077 abstract "In this work, nanoporous Cr2O3 was easily synthesized through the direct thermolysis of the as-prepared chromium-based metal-organic framework (MIL-101(Cr)) in air and used as a dopant to titanium alkali borosilicate glasses. The integration of octahedral unit of nanoparticles Cr2O3 in the network of titanium alkali borosilicate glasses, as deduced from FTIR enhanced the physical properties of the glasses by transforming the [BO3] into [BO4] structural units and consequently creating surplus bridging oxygens. The increase of the fraction N4 consolidates this hypothesis. The mentioned oxygens increased the number of bonds per unit volume, the density and decreased the molar volume of the glass network. The variations of these physical parameters as a function of Cr2O3 increased the ultrasonic velocities, the Debye temperature and the rigidity of the glasses on one hand and decrease the optical band gap on the other hand." @default.
