- W2913389971 abstract "As an important part in electrochromic (EC) devices, electrolytes usually have poor mechanical strength, which limits the development of flexible EC devices especially in tailorability. Here, the poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) electrospun mats filled with silica (SiO2) nanoparticles were prepared. Through reasonable optimization, the PCL/SiO2 nanofibrous mats with the mass ratio of 97:3 between PCL and SiO2 showed an enhanced electrolyte uptake of 805.0%, which led to a high ionic conductivity of 5.2 mS·cm−1. Due to the formation of interpenetrated nanofiber network, the breaking strength of the gel electrolytes reached up to 9.94 MPa. Based on the gel electrolyte with high ionic conductivity and good mechanical strength, the assembled flexible EC devices showed good EC properties. More importantly, these flexible EC devices can be tailored into different shapes without obvious performance degradation, which is conducive to the application of EC devices in many novel fields." @default.
