- W2913462908 abstract "The potential value of high resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) in combination with gas chromatography for quantitative bioanalytical investigations has a long history. One such application that used the unique selectivity of HRMS was the environmental analysis of dioxins using gas chromatography and magnetic sector instruments. However, HRMS, in combination with liquid chromatography, preferably utilizes two other techniques for achieving high resolution data, namely time-of-flight (TOF) and orbitrap (OT), and is a powerful analytical tool for testing of abuse drugs in urine where many compounds can be analyzed simultaneously. Specific resolving power ranges from 40,000 to 50,000 using TOF analyzer, but resolution of 70,000 can be achieved using OT analyzer. Mass accuracy is 1 ppm using TOF analyzer but 0.8 using OT analyzer. Nevertheless, HRMS is also subjected to interference." @default.
