- W2913508611 abstract "Tripping accidents of transmission line caused by forest fire are frequent. A large number of particles are generated and charged in vegetation fire. Then they drift into the gap under the transmission line. Research shows that the charged particles cause serious electric field distortion and triggering discharge is the key factor to cause the gap breakdown. Currently, the study on the effect of combustion particles on the electric field distortion in the flame gap is still not perfect. The statistical analysis of the size and morphology of particles produced by the combustion of typical vegetation is carried out in this article. The simulation model is established according to the sizes, shape, charges and distribution of combustion particles. The results show that the distortion of electric field is serious with the increase of the size and charge of the particles. The research results can provide the basis for mechanism study of the gap discharge and further guide the tripping risk assessment, warning and protection of transmission line under vegetation fire conditions." @default.
