The effect of time on fungus growth was examined for 3, 6, 9 days. The fungal bioactive ultrafiltration membrane was placed in a dead end filtration system and used for filtration of textile wastewater. For 3, 6, 9 days, formed membranes in the former medium, the hydraulic permeability (Lp) was 20.59, 14.52, 8.05 L/m2 h bar. It has been noticed that the filamentous fungi Aspergillus carbonarius M333 has one-end open fiber and it behaved like hollow fiber membrane with outer radius less than 10 μm. The results showed that 91% decolorization of wastewater and 73.2% COD reduction were obtained by fungal bioactive ultrafiltration membrane. The fungal bioactive ultrafiltration membranes were characterized by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR)." @default.
