The modeling and simulation of dendrite growth under melt flow is vital for predicting and controlling the superalloy solidification microstructure. In this work, the multiphase-field model was employed to simulate superalloy dendrite growth, and the lattice Boltzmann method was used to solve the fluid flow problem. The commercial Pandat database was used to present realistic multicomponent superalloy thermodynamic data in multiphase-field model. In single dendrite growth, zero and nonzero inlet velocities were applied to investigate the effects of forced convection on dendrite morphology. In multi-dendrite solidification, the dendrite morphology, fraction solid and average fluid velocity were obtained and analyzed." @default.
