- W2917177155 abstract "This book contains the proceedings of the 11th International Conference on Informatics in Control, Automation and Robotics (ICINCO 2014) which is sponsored by the Institute for Systems and Technologies of Information, Control and Communication (INSTICC) and co-organized by Austrian Computer Society and Vienna University of Technology â TU Wien (TUW). ICINCO 2014 is held in cooperation with the ACM Special Interest Group on Artificial Intelligence (SIGART), the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI), EUROMICRO, the Robotics Society of Japan and the Asia Pacific Neural Network Assembly. It is also technically co-sponsored by IEEE Robotics & Automation Society. The ICINCO Conference Series has now become a major forum to debate technical and scientific advances presented by researchers and developers both from academia and industry, working in areas related to Control, Automation and Robotics that benefit from Information Technology. The high quality of the ICINCO 2014 program is enhanced by the five keynote lectures, given by internationally recognized researchers, namely â Angel P. Del Pobil (Universitat Jaume I, Spain), Christoph Stiller (KIT - Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany), Karsten Berns (University of Kaiserslautern, Germany), Riccardo Cassinis (University of Brescia, Italy) and Len Gelman (Cranfield University, United Kingdom). The meeting is complemented with the International Workshop on Artificial Neural Networks and Intelligent Information Processing (ANNIIP), the Special Session on Intelligent Vehicle Controls & Intelligent Transportation Systems (IVC&ITS) and the Special Session on Adaptive Stochastic Algorithms and their Applications at Human-Machine Interfaces (ASAAHMI).ICINCO 2014 received 301 paper submissions, including special sessions, from 49 countries in all continents, of which 20% were presented as full papers. In order to evaluate each submission, a double blind paper review was performed by the Program Committee. As in previous editions of the Conference, based on the reviewerâs evaluations and the presentations, a short list of authors will be invited to submit extended versions of their papers for a book that will be published by Springer with the best papers of ICINCO 2014.Conferences are also meeting places where collaboration projects can emerge from social contacts amongst the participants. Therefore, in order to promote the development of research and professional networks, the Conference includes in its social program a Social Event & Banquet in the evening of September 2nd (Tuesday). We would like to express our thanks and appreciations to all participants. First of all, to the authors, whose quality work is the essence of this conference. Second, to all the members of the Program Committee and all reviewers, who helped us with their expertise and valuable time they have invested in reviewing submitted papers. We would also like to deeply thank the invited speakers for their excellent contributions and sharing their knowledge and vision. Finally, a word of appreciation for the hard work of the INSTICC team; organizing a conference of this level is a task that can only be achieved by the collaborative effort of a dedicated and highly capable team.We hope that you will enjoy the program and your stay in the beautiful city of Vienna. We also hope to see you again next year at ICINCO 2015 in Colmar, France." @default.
