- W2920064552 abstract "A method of Flash Qualitative Analysis (FQA) was proposed in this paper to identify a specific component from a mixture within half second by avoiding using the time consuming unit of analytical column. First, a model named Noised Spectrum Identification (NSI) is constructed for the dataset generated directly by diode array detector (DAD) without the process in an analytical column. Then, a method of Vector Error Algorithm (VEA) is proposed to calculate an error based on the DAD dataset for a mixture and a specific spectrum representing the target material to be identified. A criterion according to the error generated by the VEA is used to give a judgment of whether the specific spectrum (material) exists in the DAD dataset (mixture). Several simulations were implemented to analyze the performance of the FQI method, and an experiment for three known materials was carried out to verify the effectiveness of this method. The results showed that: the NSI model basically accords with the real experiment result, and could be used for further calculation; the error by the VEA is a valid criterion to identify qualitatively a specific material; the FQI method could finish the identification task within half second because of avoiding using the analytical column during the experimental process." @default.
