One of the most difficult problems is the regional development inequality and fundamental differences that are associated with the ability of different regions to economic growth. Sharp differentiation of regions implies the implementation of a more flexible and differentiated regional employment policy. The aim of the work is to identify issues and assess the dynamics of differentiation of regional labor markets in Russia in terms of traditional indicators. The methodological basis of the research includes a systematic approach and clustering of regional labor markets in Russia on the basis of self-organizing maps on the analytical platform Deductor. This contribution analyzes spatial differentiation of Russian labor markets. Here it is necessary to read that the authors, on the basis of the conducted research, identified from 5 to 7 groups of regional labor markets, which differ in the degree of depression and characterize the shifts between them. It is shown that labor markets of 6–7 clusters throughout 2010–2016 are relatively stable, which makes it possible to diagnose depression in regional labor markets of these clusters and the poor efficiency of employment policies. The development of regional labor markets and the alleviation of differentiation are predetermined by the regional economic system development, primarily through modernization and development of the system of jobs in traditional and innovative economic sectors (including those associated with digitalization trends)." @default.
