Mostra também poucas reflexões sobre o profissional que atua nas bibliotecas escolares. No entanto, a maioria das respostas consideram que das funções atribuídas a ele incluem a organização do espaço, o tratamento do acervo e ações mediadoras da leitura. This article discusses the universalization of the school libraries of municipalities of the state of Rio de Janeiro, in view of law 12.244 that determines this universalization until2020, and presents reflections on the professionals who work in them and their functions. It is the analysis of part of the answers of a questionnaire distributed to the92 municipal secretaries of education of the state that obtained 67% of return. The research shows that municipalities have not yet universalized libraries in schools,especially in early childhood education, and that little more than half has already put this topic in the agenda. It also shows few reflections about the professional who works in school libraries. However, most of the answers consider that the functions assigned to him include the organization of space, the treatment of the collection and mediating actions of reading." @default.
