EnglishThe ectodermal dysplasia is an inherited disorder and heterogeneous development characterized by the presence of defects in tissues derived from the ectoderm. The implant operation and monitoring in a pediatric patient reported three years of age diagnosed with ectodermal dysplasia anhidrotic, who attended consultation of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Pediatric Specialty Hospital Foundation referred to the Genetics Unit. During the anamnesis, data and unexplained hyperthermia and total absence of deciduous teeth were collected. The extraoral examination, altering the integument, appendages and facial thirds was observed, low weight and height for age. In the intraoral examination, complete absence of primary teeth was observed, while the panoramic radiograph showed the presence radiopacities two compatible with seeds of 1.3 and 2.3. Through an interdisciplinary management implant supported two total rehabilitation planned prosthesis, after placing mini-implants in mandibular parasymphysis. The monitoring was carried out for 10 years without sequelae, attending regular checks presenting favorable clinical changes, preserving the chewing function, contour, facial symmetry and balance of thirds. Managing implant at an early age, it has been controversial. However, it requires rigorous study and planning of cases according to the needs, present clinical entities. Allowing stimulation of alveolar processes during prosthetic treatment as more aesthetic and stable patients with multiple dental agenesis solution." @default.
