- W2922367600 abstract "The presence of pesticide residues in food, water and soil represents a risk for the entire flora and fauna and a potentional risk for human health. Determinations of pesticide toxic effects are carried out by classical (in vivo) and alternative (in vitro) toxicity tests. In this work as a test-system for the determination of cytotoxic effect of lindane on chinese hamster ovary cell line (CHO-K1) in monolayer was used, cultivated in Dulbecco's MEM with addition of 5% NCS (Newborn Calf Serum), in atmosphere of 95% air and 5% CO2 at 37°C. Cytotoxic effects of lindane in concentration range of 20-100 µg lindane/mL of cultivating medium was examined in CHO-K1 cell line with initial concentration of 2 x 104 cells/mL of cultivating medium by Trypan Blue and Kenacid Blue methods. IC50 was determined from the slope of % inhibition vs. log dose values. IC50 value determined by Trypan Blue method is 35,34 µg lindane/mL of cultivating medium, and determined by Kenacid Blue method is 74,08 µg lindane/mL of cultivating medium. Applied methods are fast, easy to realize and applicable for the performing of the testing of xenobiotics cytotoxicity in CHO-K1 cell line." @default.
