- W2944804942 abstract "This chapter summarizes the development and progress of high-performance flexible photodetectors based on Si, Ge, III-V nanomembranes (NMs), and Ag, CdS, and CdSe nanowires (NWs). It presents detailed fabrication methods of photodetectors and characterization of device performance using NMs and NWs. It is observed that NWs play an important role in the performance of detectors by showing enhancement among various performance parameters. Semiconductor-on-insulator is a typical structure of mostly used donor substrates to obtain the transferrable NMs. Transfer printing of semiconductor NMs is a unique process that enables delamination of single crystalline NMs from their native substrates and their subsequent transfer onto non-native substrates. Semiconductor NM is a promising material for flexible photodetectors due to their excellent properties such as high effective carrier mobility and high absorption coefficient. Finally, the chapter provides future outlook for NM- and NW-based flexible photodetectors." @default.
