- W2950054395 abstract "Electrochromic devices (ECDs) are considered a prominent technology for next-generation electronic applications. Recently, considerable efforts have been undertaken to fabricate indium-tin-oxide-free (ITO-free) flexible ECDs. In this study, we fabricated ITO-free flexible ECDs by using flexible transparent conductive electrodes (TCE) based on silver nanowires (AgNWs) and poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) on a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrate (PEDOT:PSS/AgNW/PET). The flexible TCE exhibited 17.66 Ω/sq of sheet resistance with 93.73% transmittance (at λ =550 nm). In addition, the TCE showed stable electrical performances under various environmental conditions, such as different light source, in hot humid air and in presence of electrolyte. The PEDOT:PSS/AgNW/PET based flexible ECD demonstrated a maximum transmittance contrast (ΔTmax) of 79.62% (at λ = 700 nm) with a coloration efficiency of 46.84 cm2 C−1 in the range from -1.5 to 0 V. In addition, the ECD displayed better cyclic stability over 100 cycles. These results affirm that PEDOT:PSS/AgNW/PET-based flexible ECD with stable electrochromic performance could be considered as a potential replacement of ITO in next-generation flexible electronic applications." @default.
