- W2952525609 abstract "Abstract There are several types of secondary metabolites produced by biologically valuable organisms, including bacteria, fungi, and plants. However, the precise understanding of the mechanisms of biosynthesis of these metabolites remain unknown. Complex secondary metabolites change to produce an enormous range of secondary metabolites that contain three main categories of alkaloids, isoprenoids, and phenylpropanoids. Many of these play significant role in the environment and are used by humans as drugs, color pigments, and perfumes. In the past years, important developments were made in classifying the main genes for synthesis and in understanding the underlying mechanism of synthesis. The advanced gene transfer tool has been developed and is now used for an extensive range of plants. In addition, genetic engineering techniques for manipulating secondary metabolism are also developed. These simulation approaches will assist in determining new products in future and may also help understanding the secondary metabolites." @default.
