- W2952674345 abstract "Abstract In the present research, layered‐MnCo 2 O 4 nanospinels have been prepared using Hibiscus rosa‐sinensis extract and characterized by Fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X‐ray powder diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), dynamic light scattering (DLS), Brunauer‐Emmett‐Teller (BET), Barrett‐Joyner‐Halenda (BJH) techniques and zeta potential. The effect of the spinel nanoparticles on methyl orange and methylene blue removal from aquatic solutions were investigated through UV/Vis absorption. The influence of reaction parameters including time, mass of adsorbent, pH and the initial concentration of the dyes have been examined on sorption process. MnCo 2 O 4 nanoparticles showed excellent activity on dyes elimination from water and the removal efficiency for methyl orange and methylene blue were 93 and 96%, respectively. The adsorption kinetics revealed a pseudo‐second‐order rate law, revealing the chemical sorption as the rate‐limiting step. The adsorption process were well‐matched with the Langmuir adsorption model. The maximum adsorption capacity was 100.01 and 104.16 mgg −1 for methyl orange and methylene blue, respectively." @default.
