- W2953752891 abstract "Abstract The metal powder is prepared by the method of vacuum melting inert gas atomization and mixing with a polymer binder to prepare Ag-Cu-Ti and Ni-Cr-P-Ti pasty brazing filler. The C/C composites are successfully brazed in a vacuum brazing furnace with Ag-Cu-Ti and Ni-Cr-P-Ti pasty brazing filler. The effect of the conditions such as temperature and holding time on shear strength of the brazed joints are systematically studied and the microstructure of the joint is analyzed by SEM, EDS, TEM and XRD. It has been shown that the C/C composites joint welded with Ag-26.7Cu-4.5Ti achives the highest shear strength of 26.71 MPa at brazing temperature of 850 °C and holding time of 30 min. For the joint brazed with Ni-14Cr-10P-1Ti brazing filler, the highest shear strength is 34.02 MPa when brazing temperature was 1000 °C and holding time is 30 min. As elemental diffusion and chemical reaction occur in the joint region, it results in the formation of various compounds and solid solutions. It has been found in this research that the phase of the interface and the distribution of the compounds could affect the joint strength." @default.
