Under blue light, combining with CdS nanorods (CdS NRs) as a photosensitizer, and ascorbic acid (H 2 A) as a sacrificial electron donor, [(bpte)CuCl 2 ] can catalyze hydrogen generation in heterogeneous environments and can last for 40 h. Under an optimal condition, the system achieves a turnover number (TON) of 2293 mol H 2 per mole of catalyst during 10 h irradiation, and the highest apparent quantum yield (AQY) is ~10.78% at 469 nm." @default.
