- W2955153098 abstract "Abstract Lead-based glasses doped with Dy3+ ions as potential candidates to generate white luminescence were studied. The ternary glass systems PbO-Ga2O3-X (where X = TeO2, GeO2, SiO2, P2O5, B2O3) were synthesized. The luminescence spectra for obtained glasses were registered and were analyzed in detail. Moreover, from the emission spectra the Commission Internationale de I’Eclairage (CIE) chromaticity coordinates (x, y) and the correlated color temperatures (CCT) were calculated. It was observed that the values of ratio of yellow-to-blue luminescence (Y/B) defined as I(4F9/2 → 6H13/2)/I(4F9/2 → 6H15/2) decrease from 1.70 to 1.12 in systems with reduction of covalent character for heavy metal oxides. Also, the color parameters change when glass composition is modified. The obtained results indicate that the lead-based glasses doped with Dy3+ ions exhibit nearly cool white emission and the values of CCT increase from 4448 K (PbO-Ga2O3-TeO2) to 5936 K (PbO-Ga2O3-B2O3)." @default.
