- W2965234429 abstract "In the present paper the phase composition and crystal structure of new mixed ferrites La 1-x R x FeO 3 (R = Pr, Nd, Gd) obtained by solid state reactions technique were investigated via laboratory and synchrotron X-ray powder diffraction techniques. It was established that all synthesized samples are crystallized in orthorhombic perovskite GdFeO 3 type of structure. Unit cell parameters, coordinates and displacement parameters of atoms were obtained from the experimental X-ray diffraction patterns by full profile Rietveld refinement. The continuous solid solutions formation in the LaFeO 3 –RFeO 3 systems (R = Pr, Nd, Gd) was proved by comparison of the unit cell dimensions of the mixed La 1-x R x FeO 3 ferrites with the reference data for the parent LaFeO 3 and RFeO 3 compounds. The crossover of lattice parameters of La 1-x R x FeO 3 solid solutions was established at certain compositions along with the formation of dimensionally tetragonal (pseudo-tetragonal) structures." @default.
