- W2965496569 abstract "With a basis in conservation of resources (COR) theory, this study contributes to management scholarship by unpacking the relationship between employee’s perceived workplace incivility and their turnover intentions, through the sequential mediating effects of social adaptability and emotional exhaustion. Drawing on a two-wave survey research design that collected data (N = 205) from employees of various organizations in Pakistan, the results reveal that important reason workplace incivility enhances employee’s turnover intentions is that disrespectful workplace treatment hampers employee’s ability to socially adapt because organizational environment appears less friendly to them; making them feel emotionally drained. Findings are discussed in terms of their theoretical and workplace implications." @default.
