- W2971833906 abstract "3D printing technique of Digital Light Processing (DLP) was applied to the fabrication of plastic scintillator. Photoinitiator was used with scintillating components to apply this 3D printing technique using UV-polymerization. The fabricated plastic scintillator was evaluated by large area avalanche photodiode (LAAPD) and 137Cs radiation source, and compared to commercial plastic scintillator BC408 (Saint-Gobain Crystal). The number of electron-hole pair per 1 MeV-γ for the plastic scintillators was measured using LAAPD. The detector was calibrated for 55Fe X-ray source. The number of photons per 1 MeV-γ was calculated by applying effective quantum efficiency of the LAAPD and the reflectivity of Teflon tape to the number of electron-hole pairs. As a result, light output 6,450 ph/MeV of the fabricated plastic scintillator was measured, which was 87% relative performance to BC408." @default.
