- W2974536183 abstract "Optical wave resonant transmission through semi-transparent double thin layers of negative permittivity (semi-transparent mirrors) separated by a wavelength-scale spacer L is analyzed numerically by the method of single expression (MSE). This type of a structure is called a Fabry-Perot micro-resonator. It is obtained that at the resonant transmission the micro-resonator's spacer is less than an integer numbers of half-wavelength that contradicts the well-known theory of the Fabry-Perot resonator. The performed numerical simulations permit to obtain the distributions of electric field amplitude and the Poynting vector along the whole microstructure. The obtained information permits to go deeper into the physics of the resonant double-barrier tunneling phenomenon in nano-optics. In quantum mechanics numerical simulations by the MSE revealed that micro-particles' resonant transmission through double potential barriers separated by distances L are integer numbers of less than a half of the de Broglie wavelength. Correct numerical simulation permits to observe the distributions of the wave function and the probability flow density within the whole double-barrier quantum structure. This information permits to go deeper into the physics of the quantum resonant tunneling phenomenon. Performed numerical analysis by the MSE confirmed the known analogy and good interfacing of quantum mechanics with the nano-optics." @default.
