- W2977963389 abstract "Objective To study the relationship between respiratory muscle strength and arterial blood gas analysis in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)accompaned respiratory failure. Method Measurements of maximal inspiratory pressure (MIP)、Maximal expiratory pressure (MEP) and arterial blood gas analysis were made and regression analysis were calculated in 40 cases with COPD accompaned respiratory falure.Result MIP and MEP of the patients were only 38.1％ and 29.6％ of normal predicted value; and it were found that significant correlations between MIP and PH, PaO2, PaCO2 ( r=0.42, 0.45, 0.44, P 0.05). Conclusion Respiratory muscule strength of COPD accompaned respiratory failure was significant lowed, MIP had more impotant effect than MEP in process of respiratory failure with COPD." @default.
