- W2981063319 abstract "The physical fitness is considered one of determinants of selection which is the essential step to recognize the superiority of a group and classify them according to definite data into superiors and common in those physical elements that give us a definite significances in the operation of selection and classification . So ,the absence of scientific equations for classifying the students into superiors and common in most determinants of performance ,i.e. the physical part , is a real problem mentioned by the researchers in their studies .Thus , both researchers attempts to re-examine this problem .Accordingly , the research problem is summarized within the following question : Is there any equation of determining the superiority in physical fitness ? The research objectives are : • Establishing physical tests that discrimination the students of the intermediate school. • Obtaining the discrimination function for the physical variables for the students of the intermediate school ,the superiors and the common . The research hypothesis : • The presence of discrimination between the superior intermediate school students and the common superior intermediate school students in the physical variables . The sample have been chosen of (200) intermediate school students from Mosul centre .The researchers have adopted the physical tests for measuring the elements of physical fitness representing in endurance ,speed differentiated force , the explosive force , fitness , and flexibility. The data have been treated by using the following statistical means(the arithmetic mean ,the standard deviation , the percentage the correlating coefficient and the discrimination analysis ). The researchers have concluded the following : • Via using the discriminationting analysis for the physical variables ,we can obtain some variables that discrimination the superiors according to the following equation : The discrimination equation = (11,384)- (0,064) X (run (600m) – (2,034) X (run (30m) + (0,357) X (march for maximum distance ) + (0,343) X ( the frontal repose ) + (0,448) X (the force differentiated by abdominal muscles speed ) + (1,917) X ( throwing the medical ball ) + (0,019) X (the broad from constancy ) – (0,353) X (lightness ) – (o,196) X (flexibility ) . • The equation of discrimination can classify the students .The success rate of the equation in classification was (98%) from the superior students and (96%) from the common students according to their measurements in the differentiation equation . The researchers have recommended the following : • The necessity of using physical tests resulted by the study for its convenience in choosing the best students for practicing sport activities . • Adopting the equation resulted by the study in differentiating the students according to the skillful aspect ,as well as the capability of using it in expectancy . • Making other studies on functional and psychological variables and physical measurements ." @default.
