- W2982137852 abstract "Hydrogenated styrene butadiene rubber (HSBR) is a high-performance elastomer with wide applications. Herein, Pd/g-C3N4 catalysts were successfully prepared via a simple chemical reduction method and applied for the selective hydrogenation of SBR. The results indicate that Pd nanoparticles are well dispersed and stably anchored on g-C3N4 due to the coordination of Pd and N, and the catalyst exhibits a superior activity with the hydrogenation degree of 95% and 100% selectivity to CC bonds of butadiene units in SBR at mild conditions. The excellent catalytic performance of Pd/g-C3N4 is attributed to: 1) the typical 2D-layered nanosheet structure can effectively eliminate the polymers diffusion effect; 2) the nitrogen-rich property of g-C3N4 itself is beneficial to anchoring Pd nanoparticles to obtain small-sized, well-dispersed and stable Pd catalyst; and 3) the π-π stacking interaction between the phenyl group in SBR and tri-s-triazine units of g-C3N4 allows SBR to be readily adsorbed on active sites." @default.
