- W2987312239 abstract "Social security protection is an essential part of any human being’s survival in terms of providing protection in times of contingencies like sickness, disability, retirement and death. Despite of the benefits of being a social security system membership, marginalized population seems not interested in it. The study aims to determine the perception of motorela drivers in Valencia City, Bukidnon, as well as their willingness to be members of the Social Security System (SSS). A cross sectional data from the 306 drivers were gathered using a researcher-administered survey questionnaire. Data revealed that majority of the respondents are aware of the presence of the SSS, and believe the positive impact of social security in uplifting the socio-economic status of the country in general. However, about six in every ten of the respondents have negative attitude and perception in terms of the timeliness and amount of benefit the system provides. These may cause a challenge for the system in terms of sustainability and attracting membership." @default.
