- W2988532092 abstract "Abstract The photo-physiochemical mechanistic aspects of in situ synthesis of gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) in the presence of aqueous Tetronic 304 under the effect of temperature variation from 20 to 70 °C were demonstrated by using UV–vis, dynamic light scattering, and transmission electron microscopic studies. The reduction mechanism of Au(III) into Au(0) followed by the nucleation and crystal growth occurred through the absence and presence of ligand to metal charge transfer (LMCT) intermediate states depending on the pH of the medium resulting in the evolution of different kinds of final Au NPs morphologies. We demonstrated a straightforward method of industrial scale synthesis of Au NPs of desired morphologies simply by correlating the LMCT with pH of the medium." @default.
