Various yield parameters like fruit set (%),fruit retention (%), fruit drop (%), yield per tree (kg/tree), yield per hectare (t/ha) andphysical parameters like fruit length(cm), fruit diameter (cm), fruit weight (g), fruitfirmness (kg/cm2), shelf life (days), PLW(%), spoilage(%) and bio-chemical parameterslike TSS ( Brix), ascorbic acid (mg/100g), titrable acidity (%), total sugars (%),reducing sugars (%), non- reducing sugars (%) and Brix: Acid ratio were recorded.In the first experiment, among plant growth regulators, NAA@200ppm hasrecorded significantly highest fruit set, fruit retention, yield per tree, yield per hectarefruit length, fruit weight, fruit firmness, total soluble solids, Brix: acid ratio, ascorbicacid, total sugars, reducing sugars and non reducing sugars. The same treatmentrecorded minimum fruit drop, titrable acidity and PLW. Further, NAA@200ppm andGA3@ 100ppm were on par by recording the highest fruit diameter.Among micronutrients, ZnSO4 @ 0.4% + Boric acid @ 0.4% + CuSO4 @0.4%+ MgSO4 @0.4% has recorded significantly highest fruit set, fruit retention, yield pertree, yield per hectare fruit length, fruit weight, fruit firmness, fruit diameter andascorbic acid. However, ZnSO4 @ 0.4% + Boric acid @ 0.4% + CuSO4 @0.4%recorded the highest total soluble solids, Brix: acid ratio, non reducing sugars and thelowest acidity. Whereas, ZnSO4 @ 0.4% + Boric acid @ 0.4% recorded the highest totalsugars and reducing sugars and the lowest PLW.In interaction effects, NAA@200ppm and ZnSO4 @ 0.4% + Boric acid @ 0.4%+ CuSO4 @0.4% + MgSO4 @0.4% has recorded significantly maximum fruit set(76.15%), fruit retention (78.25%), fruit yield per tree (116.92kg/tree), yield per hectare(46.77t/ha), fruit weight (187.07g), fruit firmness (9.07kg/cm2) and reducing sugars(4.49%). Minimum fruit drop percentage (21.75%) was recorded in the same treatment.However, NAA@200ppm and ZnSO4 @ 0.4% + Boric acid @ 0.4% + CuSO4 0.4%recorded highest TSS (11.72°Brix), Brix: Acid ratio (39.27), ascorbic acid(243.67mg/100g), total sugars (8.00%), non reducing sugars (3.99%) and minimumacidity (0.30%). Maximum fruit length (7.69cm) and fruit diameter (7.53cm) wereobserved with GA3@100ppm and ZnSO4 @ 0.4% + Boric acid @ 0.4% +CuSO4@0.4% + MgSO4 @0.4%. Whereas, minimum PLW(16.13%) was recorded inGA3@100ppm and ZnSO4 @ 0.4% + Boric acid @ 0.4% + CuSO4 @0.4%. MaximumB:C ratio (5.07) was recorded in NAA@200ppm and ZnSO4 @ 0.4% + Boric acid @0.4% + MgSO4 @0.4%. NAA@200ppm and ZnSO4 @ 0.4% + Boric acid @ 0.4% +CuSO4 @0.4% + MgSO4 @0.4% was superior in improving the yield and qualityattributes of guava cv. Lucknow-49.In the second experiment, among different forms of pre-harvest sprays ofcalcium, Ca(NO3)2 @ 2% has recorded significantly the highest total soluble solids(11.39 B), ascorbic acid (159.49mg/100g), total sugars (9.00%), reducing sugars(5.23%), non-reducing sugars (3.78%), TSS: Acid ratio (31.08), fruit firmness(10.03kg/cm2), shelf life (8.51days) when compared to control. The same treatmentrecorded minimum acidity (0.37%), PLW (11.63%) and spoilage percentage (62.86%).Ca(NO3)2@ 2% emerged as best treatment to improve the quality attributes of guava cv.Allahabad Safeda." @default.
