• W2989096282 abstract "The study was aimed to measure the effect of using Whiteboard Animation toward writing ability and students’ motivation in descriptive text at tenth grade in SMK Al-Ishlah Palangka Raya .The research design was quasi experiment in quantitative research approach in finding out the answer of problem of study. The researcher designed conducted lesson plan, treatment, and observed the students’ scores by pre-test and post-test. The population of this research was class X TKJ, X TBSM and X TKRO in SMK Al-Ishlah Palangka Raya. The total of population was 53 students and the sample of this research was 40 students in class X TKJ and X TBSM. The researcher applied Sample Post-test calculation to test the hypothesis. The data were collected from students’ writing products. The data was analyzed by using coding frame observation as research instrument. The subject was tenth grade at SMK Al-Ishlah Palangka Raya Academic Year 2018/2019.The researcher used One –Way ANOVA to analyse the data, and the result showed that there was significant differences among groups after doing the treatment with Fvalue was higher than Ftable (133.354≥2.75). Then the researcher applied Post Hoc Test to answer the research problems, and the result showed that (a) writing ability using Whiteboard Animation Video more efective on writing score than teaching english without using Whiteboard Animation Video, the significant value was lower than alpha (0.002 < 0.05); (b) writing ability using Whiteboard Animation Video was more effective on student’s motivation than teaching english without giving Whiteboard Animation Video; (c) there was significant different effect of using Whiteboard Animation Video toward writing ability and students’ motivation (0.002 < 0.05). It meant that using Whiteboard Animation Video gives significant effect on the students’ writing descriptive text at the tenth grade at SMK Al-Ishlah Palangka Raya.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur efek dari animasi papan tulis terhadap kemampuan menulis dan motivasi belajar siswa pada teks deskriptif di SMK Al-Ishlah Palangka Raya.Desain penelitian ini merupakan quasi experimental dengan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dalam mencari jawaban dari masalah penelitian. Peneliti mendesain rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran, pelayanan, dan mengamati skor siswa dengan pre-test dan post-test. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas X TKJ, X TBSM dan X TKRO di SMK Al-Ishlah Palangka Raya. Total populasi adalah 53 siswa dan sampel penelitian ini adalah 40 siswa di kelas X TKJ dan X TBSM. Peneliti menerapkan perhitungan sampel Post-test untuk menguji hipotesis. Data dikumpulkan dari hasil tulisan siswa . Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan frame coding sebagai instrumen penelitian. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas sepuluh SMK Al-Ishlah Palangka Raya Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019.Peneliti menggunakan One -Way ANOVA untuk menganalisis data, dan hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelompok setelah diberi perlakuan dengan Fvalue lebih tinggi dari Ftable (133.354≥2.75). Kemudian peneliti menerapkan Post Hoc Test untuk menjawab masalah penelitian, dan hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa (a) kemampuan menulis menggunakan tayangan Video Animasi Papan Tulis lebih efektif pada nilai menulis daripada mengajar bahasa inggris tanpa memberikan tayangan Video Animasi Papan Tulis, dengan nilai signifikan lebih rendah dari alpha ( 0,002 lebih rendah <0,05); (b) kemampuan menulis menggunakan tayangan Video Animasi Papan Tulis lebih efektif pada motivasi belajar siswa daripada mengajar bahasa Inggris tanpa memberikan tayangan Video Animasi Papan Tulis; (c) ada pengaruh berbeda yang signifikan dari menggunakan tayangan Video Animasi Papan Tulis terhadap kemampuan menulis dan motivasi siswa (0,002 < 0,05).
