- W2989819117 abstract "Decision and planning problems are often informed by the preferences of the actors involved. This chapter aims at explaining what ‘elicitation of preferences’ means for different decision support methodologies. Three elicitation approaches are presented: multicriteria decision analysis, conjoint analysis, and problem structuring methods. The potential of these approaches for structuring and supporting energy-related decisions is illustrated through several applications, namely, the assessment of initiatives to promote energy efficiency through soft systems methodology and ELECTRE, the evaluation of policies to foster the development of smart grids using the Delphi method and ELECTRE TRI, and the modelling of consumer preferences for electric vehicles using choice-based conjoint analysis." @default.
