- W2994367025 abstract "Abstract Nanoparticle synthesis using plants have huge prospective as it is environment-friendly, cost-efficient, reproducible and energy efficient method as compared to physical or chemical synthesis. In the present study, green synthesis of silver and copper nanoparticles was done using Centella asiatica. Characterization of synthesized nanoparticles was done by using UV–vis spectroscopy and SEM. UV–vis gave characteristic SPR peak for silver and copper at 430 nm and 323 nm respectively. SEM images reveal spherical shape of synthesized silver and copper nanoparticles. Further comparative study of photocatalytic and catalytic degradation of methyl red, methyl orange, phenol red and eosin y using both the nanoparticles were done. CuNPs exhibited potential catalytic activity in methyl red (98.49 %), methyl orange (98.84 %) and phenyl red (99.62 %) respectively under optimal conditions." @default.
