• W2994909250 abstract "Abstract The biosorption of cationic dye Rhodamine B (Rh-B) from aquatic medium using the biosorbents as Eichhornia crassipes has been investigated. The structure, microstructure and surface morphology of Eichhornia crassipes powders were analyzed using FTIR, XRD, SEM and TGA methods. The influence of several parameters such as solution pH, contact time, initial dye (Rh-B) concentration and temperature was evaluated. The XRD, SEM and TGA analysis revealed the adsorption of dye onto the biosorbents surface. The isotherms and kinetics data of the adsorption were better fitted to Langmuir and pseudo–second order equations, respectively. The maximum biosorption capacities of Roots and Leaves were found to be 27.15 and 44.60 mg/g, respectively. The biosorption of Rh-B molecules on the studied adsorbents was a spontaneous and exothermic nature process. The obtained results suggest that this aquatic plant can act as an efficient and cost affective adsorbent for the removal of hazardous synthetic pollutants from wastewater." @default.
