• W2995305363 abstract "RESUMO: O presente estudo concentra-se em investigar a probabilidade de participacao e oferta de horas destinada ao segundo emprego entre os trabalhadores do setor agricola, levando em consideracao as caracteristicas socioeconomicas e as caracteristicas do trabalho. Para este estudo sao utilizados os dados da Pesquisa Nacional por Amostra de Domicilios (PNAD) do ano de (2014). A modelagem econometrica usada para alcancar os objetivos propostos resulta na estimacao dos modelos Probit para a decisao de participacao no mercado de multiplos empregos, modelo Tobit para alocacao de horas de trabalho e o modelo Double-Hurdle, que estima conjuntamente as duas equacoes. Dos resultados, destacam-se como um dos principais fatores para decisao de participacao no mercado secundario: experiencia, escolaridade e condicao de chefe de familia. Para decisao de quantidade de horas ofertadas no segundo emprego, evidenciam-se: experiencia, escolaridade, ser casado e ter filhos e a estabilidade no primeiro emprego. No modelo Double-Hurdle, a variavel estabilidade no primeiro emprego exprime o resultado esperado, ou seja, diminui a probabilidade de participar no mercado secundario. ABSTRACT: The present study aims at investigating the likelihood of participation and the provision of working hours in the secondary job market workers in the agricultural sector. The analytical focus relies on socioeconomic attributes of workers and jobs. The study used data extracted from National Household Sample Survey (PNAD), conducted by the IBGE, for the year 2014. To achieve the proposed objectives the study used the following econometric models: Probit models, for the decision to participate in a multi-job market; the Tobit model, for the allocation of working hours; and the Double-Hurdle model, which jointly estimated the two equations. Evidence shows that among the main determinants of decision-making in participating in a secondary job market featured experience, education, and condition of being head of family. As for the decision-making concerning the number of hours employed in a second job, the main determinants were found to be experience, schooling, being married, having children, and having stability at the first job. As for the Double-Hurdle model, the variable for stability in the first job behaved as expected, that is, it decreases the probability of participating in the secondary job market." @default.
