- W2996205851 abstract "The article’s main goal is to characterize the concept of a “self-translation of an allographic translation,” which, according to Dasilva’s typological proposal, designates the case when an author translates a work of his own that has been previously translated to the same language by another translator. The case study presented is Xavier Alcala’s novel Nos pagos de Huinca Loo, originally published in Galician in 1982, translated into Spanish by Antonio Santamarina, with the title of Cristiano muerto (1983), and later translated again by Alcala himself as Huinca Loo. Un arroyo en la frontera (2016). By comparing the primitive text, the allographically translated text, and the self-translated text, the analysis seeks to make a theoretical contribution that can help to more specifically define the complexity and variety of translation practices in the Iberian Peninsula, with particular attention to the Galician context." @default.
