- W2998535716 abstract "Kyiv Graphic School belongs to one of the country's most powerful and prominent artistic centers and is marked by a variety of prominent names, many of which remained in the shadow of art studies. Kyiv Graphic School was formed mainly on the basis of Kyiv State Art Institute, where students had the opportunity to master the lithographic technique, taught by experienced teachers. In the 1980s, the students in the workshop of book graphics under the direction of the Professors V. I. Kasiian, V. Y. Chebanyk and the Assistant Professor G. I. Galynska, who brought up a series of famous Ukrainian graphic artists, selected works of Ukrainian and Russian classic authors, illustrated Soviet and foreign literature, showing their professional maturity and creative individuality The work of Kyiv graphic artists, who worked in book graphics in the 1970-1980s in flat-printing techniques, has been considered. The image bearing artistic and stylistic features of lithographs of Kyiv artists of the investigated period of time, which became an integral part of the artistic heritage of the Ukrainian people, were determined.V. Gordiichuk, A. Krvavych, O. Ovchynnikova, S. and O. Yakutovychs, G. Zubkovskyi, M. Pshinka, G. Varkach and others worked actively in the designated period in the area of book graphics. Kyiv artists of book graphics, being in the constant search for new forms, creative means and plastic movement, used fully the properties and expressive capabilities of flat print technology. Graphic works by masters of book graphics, who tried to find stylistic solutions consistent with each literary work and impress the reader, were marked by a high level of professionalism and performing skills. In the art of graphics of the 70's and 80's of the twentieth century, which still remained under the pressure of state ideology, there were notable moves to liberate the pressure of the pro-government system. Artists became more relaxed, sought to self-fulfillment and boldly expressed their vision of artistic processes." @default.
