• W3003852022 abstract "Abstract . Pneumonia is an infectious disease of the acute lower respiratory tract due to inflammation of the lungs that is usually caused by bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Pneumonia is a disease that accounts for 15% of the causes of all deaths of children under 5 years. This research is a descriptive study that aims to find a description of pneumonia characteristics (sex,ages, laboratory examination, x-rays, antibiotic therapy and the average length of stay) in pediatric patients at Al-Ihsan District Hospital, Bandung Regency, 2017-2018. Samples in the form of total sampling with research subjects are patients diagnosed with pneumonia that are listed in the medical record data of inpatients at Al-Ihsan Regional Hospital in 2017-2018. The results showed an average male sex of 25 patients (62.5% ), age at most> 1 month - 1 year 33 patients (82,5%), laboratory examination showed leukocytosis as many as 19 patients (47.5%), X-ray examination obtained bilateral bronchopneumonia results as many as 18 patients (45.0%), the type of antibiotic therapy given The type of antibiotic that is Cefotaxime inj as many as 13 patients (32.5 %), and the average length of stay was 1-5 days in the range of 21 patients (52.5%). The conclusions in this study were the most common in men, age at most> 1 month - 1 year, laboratory tests showed leukocytosis, X-ray examination with bilateral bronchopneumonia results, types of antibiotics given injection cefotaxime, and average length of stay 1- 5 days. Pneumonia adalah penyakit infeksi pada saluran pernafasan akut bagian bawah akibat inflamasi pada paru-paru yang biasanya disebabkan oleh bakteri, virus, dan jamur. Pneumonia merupakan  penyakit yang menyumbang 15% penyebab semua kematian anak dibawah 5 tahun.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran karakteristik pneumonia (jenis kelamin, usia,pemeriksaan laboratorium, foto rontgen, terapi antibiotik dan rerata lama rawat inap) pada pasien anak balita di RSUD Al-Ihsan Kabupaten Bandung tahun 2017-2018. Sampel berupa total sampling dengan subjek penelitian yaitu pasien yang terdiagnosis pneumonia yang tertera di data rekam medis pasien rawat inap di RSUD Al-Ihsan tahun 2017-2018.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata jenis kelamin laki-laki sebanyak 25 pasien (62,5%),usia paling banyak >1 bulan-1 tahun, pemeriksaan laboratorium menunjukkan leukositosis sebanyak 19 pasien (47,5%), pemeriksaan foto rontgen diperoleh hasil bronkopneumonia bilateral sebanyak 18 pasien (45,0 %), jenis terapi antibiotik yang diberikan Jenis antibiotiknya yaitu Cefotaxime injeksi sebanyak 13 pasien (32,5%), dan rerata lama rawat inap rata-rata kisaran 1-5 hari sebanyak 21 pasien (52,5%). Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini adalah rata-rata tersering pada laki-laki, usia paling banyak >1 bulan – 1 tahun, pemeriksaan laboratorium menunjukan leukositosis, pemeriksaan rontgen dengan hasil bronkopneumonia bilateral, jenis antibiotik yang diberikan cefotaxime injeksi, dan rerata lama rawat inap 1-5 hari.
