- W3008012746 abstract "Most common practices of waste processing are uncontrolled dumping, which causes mainly water and soil pollution. Rampant use of chemicals in textile effluent industries largely contributes to the deterioration of the environment. Therefore, strategies have to be swiftly implemented in search for management of solid and liquid waste in a beneficial way. Cyanobacteria have an oxygen evolving photosynthetic system, and additionally, their central role in carbon dioxide fixation, bioremediation of effluent, and biodegradation of wastes makes them an efficient candidate to be preferred for their exploitation. The potential application of marine cyanobacteria for treatment of textile wastewater was investigated using different agro-wastes. This technique offers significant improvements in environmental aspects by reducing pollutants." @default.
