- W3010826488 abstract "Due to the direct relationship between osteoblasts and bone formation, the research and development of traditional bone replacement materials is mainly focused on regulating the direct osteogenic differentiation of osteoblasts to achieve the goal of biomaterial-mediated osteogenesis. However, the research progress of bone biology reveals that the local microenvironment, especially the immune microenvironment, plays a crucial role in the regulation of osteogenesis. The theory of bone immunology reveals that the immune and bone systems are closely connected, sharing many cytokines and regulators. Immune cells play a significant role in the physiological and pathological processes relevant to bone. The concepts of previous research overemphasized the direct regulation of osteoblasts and neglected management of the osteogenic differentiation microenvironment. Based on this research background, the author's research group proposed the concept of bone-replacement-material research and development based on “regulation of the bone immune microenvironment”: the research and development material induces a good bone immune microenvironment by regulating immune cell response to coordinate the processes of osteogenesis as well as osteoclasts and achieve the best bone-regeneration effect. Combined with bone immunological and biological materials and the research progress of immune regulation performance, this paper is based on “the immune microenvironment of bone regulation” development concept for improving the clinical conversion rate of biological materials and for better clinical bone defects, especially oral cavity jaw bone defect repair to solve the problem of jaw bone defects in the regenerative repair of scientific problems." @default.
